Lake Ohara

Located in the heart of Yoho National Park, this unparalleled hidden gem is home to exquisite hanging valleys, jewel-blue lakes, and breathtaking vistas. An excellent trail network for the region is maintained by the Lake O’Hara Trails Club and Parks Canada. This area is protected and visits are by reservation only - only 1% of people who apply, actually get to visit! We’ve been lucky enough to visit multiple times and seasons over the years; staying at the campground, ACC’s Abbot Pass Hut & Elizabeth Parker Hut.
